Layton Tamberlin
Layton Tamberlin has 11 years’ experience as an investor, having also, before Sullivan Street Partners, worked in Private Equity at TDR Capital since its inception in 2002. He has invested in a broad range of sectors, including business services, healthcare, leisure and financial services with acquisitions ranging from £10m up to £5bn. Investments Layton has been involved in have to date generated an IRR of over 70%.
Prior to joining TDR Capital, Layton worked in investment banking at Merrill Lynch where he executed the IPO’s of companies in business services, technology and media as well as advising on several M & A transactions in UK Media industrials and various other industries.
Layton read Maths and Philosophy at Keble College, Oxford. Layton is also Chairman of Samedaydoctor, a nationwide UK private healthcare business, Director of Taylor, a manufacturing business and Acting CEO for SitexOrbis, a security and services business.
Richard Sanders
Richard Sanders has 15 years experience in operational and strategic changes. He has advised operationally on over 50 private equity transactions, and performed interim operational roles at PE-owned mid cap companies including all those owned by Sullivan Street Partners. He has also developed the strategy for, grown and restructured several transitional and start-up businesses.
Richard was the Group Strategy Director at the John Lewis Partnership from 2007, running the Group Executive, and was also the Director in charge of Greenbee, restructuring the business inside 6 months. Richard has 7 years experience in consulting at both Bain & Co and in building what is now Deloitte’s transaction services business from inception.
Richard read Physics at Oxford and has a Postgraduate in Manufacturing and Management from Cambridge. Richard is also Non-Executive Director of CarbonRiver, the Barton Partnership and Director of Taylor.
